A wedding is a celebration of love, and when it comes to making it unforgettable, the Andaz Liverpool Street in London sets the stage for an extraordinary affair. Here's a little insight into a lavish wedding that embodied the bride's concept of being "boujee AF" whilst injecting a large sprinkle of fun into every aspect of the day. From the elegant ballroom to the Champagne tower, "let them eat cake' dessert table, and impromptu street celebration, this wedding at the Andaz Liverpool Street was an occasion of excess and celebration. Joanna enlisted the skills of Toby of a House of Toby to imbue his experience and skill at throwing epic parties and his links to The Andaz to realise her dream wedding celebration.
The Great Eastern Ballroom at the Andaz Liverpool Street served as the
perfect setting for this glamorous black and white black-tie affair. With its high ceilings, grand chandeliers, and exquisite detailing, the ballroom exudes timeless elegance and sophistication. The black and white theme added a touch of classic charm to the overall aesthetic, setting the stage for an evening of refined opulence. Vows were made in front of friends and family and a grand piano played Joanna down the aisle to many tears from Matt (Good job Matt!)
Old money nostalgia prep: sunglasses and towels were the order of the day for the morning celebrations. Jo also wanted a first look captured between Matt and their eldest child .
Champagne Tower Extravaganza: To get the party started, guests were greeted by an impressive Champagne tower, shimmering in the soft glow of ambient lighting. This iconic display of luxury and celebration set the tone for the evening.
Decadent Dessert Table: The bride's concept of being "boujee AF" was beautifully realized through an extravagant dessert table. A feast for the eyes and taste buds, the table boasted an array of delectable treats, from artisanal macarons and decadent chocolate truffles to intricately designed cakes and miniature pastries. Each sweet delight was meticulously crafted to offer a tantalizing culinary experience, adding a touch of indulgence to the evening.
A Fun-Filled Entrance: The bridal party made a grand entrance, injecting an element of fun and playfulness into the celebration. As the doors swung open, the bridal party danced their way into the ballroom, accompanied by a lively soundtrack that set the stage for an evening of laughter, love, and endless entertainment. This unexpected twist set the tone for the festivities to come and brought smiles to the faces of all in attendance.
The celebration continued on the dance floor, where strawberry tequila shots were passed around, creating a buzz of excitement, camaraderie and laughter. The band were absolutely epic and this was one of the best dance floors we've had to date! The majority of guests were dancing and singing along as the talented singers came out onto the floor, alongside the saxophonist. The bride and groom, surrounded by their loved ones, let loose and embraced the joy of the occasion. The energetic music, dazzling lights, and infectious enthusiasm turned the dance floor into a space where unforgettable memories were made. Mart and I were dancing away as much as the rest of them!
In a spontaneous burst of excitement, the bridal party took the celebration to the streets of London. They ventured out to the central reservation, literally stopping traffic, where they sprayed Moet into the night sky, laughing and cheering and causing absolute mayhem. The passersby loved it and were cheering and shouting congratulations as the bridal party ran into the road and literally stopped traffic! The driver, whose taxi was accosted by the rowdy crew grabbed his phone and took a sneaky video of them all over his bonnet! This impromptu moment of pure jubilation captured the spirit of the wedding, merging extravagance with a touch of spontaneity.
The Andaz Liverpool Street played host to an extraordinary wedding that perfectly embodied the bride's concept of being "boujee AF" while infusing an abundance of fun into every aspect of the celebration. From the enchanting ballroom and Champagne tower to the decadent dessert table and lively dance floor, every detail added to the magic of the occasion. The impromptu street celebration epitomized the spirit of joy, excess and spontaneity all in the name of a good time!
