Pavithra, Prague, December 2022.

Updated: Apr 20, 2023

When Pavithra contacted us and described her wedding plans we crossed everything and hoped she would book! A couple of videocalls later and after meeting her parents and introducing our family dogs to each other, she contacted us to book us up. We were doubly thrilled when Pavithra's mum asked if we would be interested in going out to Prague to visit David (who is Czech) with Pavithra for their engagement photography session.

Pavithra and David met at Prague University some years ago and the rest is history. We scheduled our date for the session in, I got our flights booked up and Mart and I descended into Prague on a frosty Tuesday evening. We used Booking.com to source flights and an overnight stay. Mart and I both fell in love with the images of the beautiful Nana Macs. We checked the location which was absolutely perfectly central for District 1 and we got booked in. I've actually never left a hotel review online before so when I tell you as soon as we got in the taxi to leave Nana Macs I finished off our 10/10 raving review (read it here), that should give you some idea of how highly we rated the place. We're not the only ones either! This is not an ad, nor have we received any commission - it was just absolutely wonderful and when you come across wonderful small businesses, it needs to be shouted from the rooftops! Not only was the place super cool and immaculate, the room was enormous (we went for room #1 King suite) but every person that worked there was so welcoming, friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and I genuinely felt like I was staying at a family home. That sort of vibe.

Some images below of us at one of Prague's Christmas market on Tuesday evening. We visited the Old Town market but there are plenty to choose from! The icing on the Christmas cake was a dusting of frost on Tuesday followed by snow-fall on Wednesday afternoon and evening. So magical! The delays that followed on the flight home not so much :)

In the morning of Wednesday, we met with P + D for their photography session. We chose the location together and decided to explore the place they had got engaged. Both readily admitted they were nervous about what to expect and (like most people we meet!) believe themselves to be unnatural in front of the camera. We're here to prove them otherwise to these two and anyone else buying into the myth of 'unphotogenic'; as long as you're happy and in love, we can do the rest! I'll let their images do the talking :) We can't wait for their wedding in April.
