Nurgul Rose & Tony, Sefton Park Palm House, Liverpool.

Rose & Tony’s Colourful Sefton Park Palm House Wedding

Some weddings just stay with you forever. Rose & Tony should get married every day—that’s how good this day was. Bursting with colour, emotion, energy (and heat—spoiler alert: it was the hottest day of the year!), their Sefton Park Palm House wedding was the kind that makes you fall in love with weddings all over again.

I didn’t even shoot this one myself, and it still makes my list of all-time favourites. Photography was the beautiful handiwork of Martin, with our amazing team on film. I did, however, have the joy of editing it—and what a joy it was.

Rose LOVES colour. And she’s a huge fan of documentary-style wedding photography, so we leaned right into that. No forced tones or over-stylised filters here—just honest, vibrant storytelling. I kept the colours true and natural, and then popped them as much as I could in the edit, making the most of the gorgeous greens, warm florals, and golden light streaming through the iconic Palm House dome.

Tony and Rose’s smiles were unstoppable—genuine, joy-filled grins that lit up every frame. Their energy? Absolutely contagious. Even with temperatures soaring, their vibe was as cool as ever, matching the lush, exotic energy of the Sefton Park Palm House perfectly.

There’s something magical about this Liverpool wedding venue—towering palms, cascading plants, glass ceilings and all that natural light. It’s a total dream for a colourful wedding like this one. From Rose’s stunning Pronovias gown to every spontaneous, love-soaked moment, this day was the definition of feel-good.

We’re all still swooning. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

Planning a Colourful, Exotic UK Wedding Indoors? Here Are Our Top Tips:

1. Choose a venue with built-in beautyThink glasshouses, botanical gardens, museums, or historic orangeries. Spaces like Sefton Park Palm House offer lush backdrops without the need for heavy styling.

2. Embrace bold coloursDon’t shy away from vibrant palettes! Tropical florals, bright linens, and colourful decor can create an uplifting, exotic vibe—even on a rainy British day.

3. Use lighting to your advantageUplighting, festoon lights, and candles help enhance the atmosphere—especially as the sun sets. Warm tones will boost the colours without washing them out.

4. Work with a florist who loves texture and drama

Go for statement arrangements: think oversized palms, orchids, anthuriums, and bold colour contrasts. Rose’s florals brought in serious wow-factor and felt like summer exploded (in a good way).

5. Choose a photographer who knows how to handle colour

Not all photographers approach editing the same way. If you love natural tones and want colours to pop—find someone who embraces that in their work, rather than muting it.

6. Think about your fashion

This is your chance to wear something spectacular. Whether it’s a bold print, statement accessories, or a gown like Rose’s by Pronovias—don’t be afraid to stand out.

7. Keep things relaxed and joyful

A documentary-style approach to photography and film means you can just be yourselves, soak it all in, and let the day unfold naturally—with all the vibrant, messy, wonderful magic that brings.
